Bill Shanks checks in with the latest Braves minor league scores and recaps on Friday from Richmond, Myrtle Beach, Greenville, and Rome.
GAMES FROM FRIDAY, APRIL 18:
Richmond edges Toledo 4-3 in 10 innings

singled home
Jesse Garcia
in the top of the tenth inning to lead the Richmond Braves past the Toledo Mud Hens 4-3 on Friday night.
The R-Braves took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning as Mike Hessman had a RBI single and
Travis Wilson
followed with a two run single. The Mud Hens battled back with single runs in the first, second, and ninth innings to tie the score at 3 heading into the extra frame.
Andy Pratt
started for Richmond and picked up a no-decision. Pratt went five innings, allowing seven hits, two earned runs, walking four, and striking out five.
Bobby Jones
(1-0) picked up the win in relief for Richmond, who improved to 5-10 on the season.
Greenville loses 3-1 to Tennessee
The Greenville Braves moved back to .500 on the season (7-7) losing to the Tennessee Smokies 3-1 Friday night in Greenville.
The Smokies scored one run in the second and two in the sixth inning off Greenville starter Brett Evert (1-2), who gave up six hits, three walks, and two strikeouts in his six innings of work.
The lone Greenville run was unearned in the ninth inning. The G-Braves struck out twelve times on the night.
Game two of the series is Saturday night. Roman Colon is scheduled to start for Greenville.
Myrtle Beach beats Kinston 4-3 in late inning fashion
Myrtle Beach second baseman

singled in the top of the ninth inning with the bases loaded scoring the tying and go ahead runs, giving the Pelicans a 4-3 victory over Kinston Friday night.
In a rain soaked game, Myrtle Beach starter
Zach Miner
allowed his first runs of the season, giving up three earned runs in the fifth inning. Miner walked one and struck out three and saw his ERA rise to 1.69.
But Myrtle Beach scored two in the eighth and capitolized on Herr’s hit in the ninth to hold on for the win.
Ralph Roberts
(1-0) got the victory for Myrtle Beach in relief.

Rome loses big to Capital City 9-2
Before another huge crowd at State Mutual Stadium, the Rome Braves (8-7) lost 9-2 Friday night to the Capital City Bombers.
Rome scored first in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by

. But then the Bombers scored two runs in the fourth and two in the fifth off Rome starter

(0-2). Then Cap City scored three more runs in the sixth off Rome reliever

to increase its lead.
The final game of the series and Rome’s opening homestand will be Saturday night when
