Fitzgerald Quickly Impressing

DANVILLE, VA - College is an experience of a life time. Some people stay more than four years to "keep the party going", but Jeremy Fitzgerald has different plans. After being the number one pitching prospect on his NAIA National Champion Tennessee Wesleyan program, Fitzgerald was drafted by the Braves in the 21st round in 2012.

He impressed this college season, posting a 4.14 ERA in 17 starts for the Bulldogs, while recording 87 strikeouts as a full-time starting pitcher. So far in Danville Fitzgerald has made five relief appearances this season, posting a 2.70 ERA and recording nine strikeouts in seven innings with just three hits allowed.
