Meneses Getting His Timing Down

A native of Culiacán, Mexico, outfielder Joey Meneses is providing a steady bat and flawless fielding for the GCL Braves. While the numbers are very good and only getting better, the 6-foot-3, 190 pound, 20-year old has more than just good stats going for him.

"He's doing a good job," proclaimed hitting coach DJ Boston. "I've been working with him on his timing, getting his hands away from his body, so he can have a little bit better extension. That's going to put him more [on the pitch] and help get his timing to be really quick. "Once he gets all of it working together, he'll be [more productive] at the plate.
