Garcia In Complete Control

ORLANDO, FL - In a league full of players that are just now entering into the world of professional baseball, 22-year-old lefty reliever Elvin Garcia is one of the few who has been here before. Playing two years in the Dominican Summer League prior to joining the GCL Braves, the Nicaragua native posted impressive numbers in the 2011 season, striking out 44 batters while allowing just three walks.

"I worked really hard [in the summer leagues], but I always do," Garcia said. "Staying in great physical shape is important to having a great season showing that I am a quality pitcher and that I will always work to improve upon that.
