Dan Smith Interview

BravesCenter's Bill Shanks talks with Dan Smith, a left-handed reliever that went 5-4 in 2005 between Rome and Myrtle Beach. The non-drafted free agent signed out of Ft. Myers, Florida in 2003 had a combined ERA of 2.27 in his 44 games with 11 saves. He also allowed only 57 hits in 71.1 innings, 18 runs, 35 walks, and 87 strikeouts.

SHANKS: Tell me how you were signed. SMITH: Going into my senior year in high school, which was 2001, I had shoulder surgery. I took almost two years off and worked in construction.
