It's a full day of action around the Braves' farm system. Ricardo Rodriguez tries to help Richmond get on track against Ottawa, while lefty Jo Jo Reyes goes for the hot Myrtle Beach Pelicans. The Braves Show's Bill Shanks has more.
RICHMOND
The Braves play game two of its four-game series against Ottawa tonight at 7:00 pm at the Diamond.
Ricardo Rodriguez
(3-7, 4.34 ERA) will pitch for the Braves, who are 29-53 on the season, 24 games behind Charlotte in the International League’s South Division.
MISSISSIPPI
The struggling Mississippi Braves finish out a series in Montgomery tonight at 8:05 pm ET.
Matt Wright
, the probable starter in next Monday’s Southern League All-Star Game, will pitch for the Braves. He’s 7-3 with a 2.27 ERA. With a six-game losing streak, Mississippi is now 3-11 in the second half of the season, six games back of Montgomery in the South Division of the Southern League.
MYRTLE BEACH
Lefty
Jo Jo Reyes
pitches for the Pelicans as they go for their third win in a row tonight at 7:05 in Potomac against the Nationals. Myrtle Beach is in first place with a 6-3 record in the second half of the season. They are a half game up on Winston-Salem in the Carolina League’s Southern Division.
ROME
The Braves finish out a series in Charleston tonight at 6:05 pm. Asher Demme (2-4, 4.94) will go for Rome (5-6), who is three games out of first place in a very tight Southern Division of the Sally League.
DANVILLE
The Danville Braves take on Burlington tonight at Dan Daniel Park starting at 7:00 pm. Kyle Cofield should get some innings in tonight for the Braves, who are 6-5 on the season, 3.5 games back of Pulaski in the Appy League’s East Division.
GCL BRAVES
The Gulf Coast League Braves take on the GCL Phillies this afternoon at noon at Disney’s Wide World of Sports. Jose Ortegano should see action for the Braves, who are 7-3 on the season, two games up on the Indians in the GCL North Division.
