The Braves Show's Bill Shanks will be talking Braves Baseball on the radio.
The Braves Show's Bill Shanks will start a daily sports talk radio show this Tuesday, March 27th, and will also contribute Braves' reports to radio stations around the southeast this season.
'The Bill Shanks Show' starts Tuesday and will be on every weekday from 4-6 pm ET on WIFN - 105.5 the Fan - in Macon, Georgia. The show will soon be available live online at www.1055thefan.com.
Shanks will talk mostly about Macon and Georgia sports on the program, with a heavy emphasis on the Braves. Atlanta General Manager John Schuerholz will be Shanks' first guest on Tuesday.
Also, Shanks will be a regular guest on the Buck & Kincade Show on WCNN - 680 the Fan - in Atlanta. He'll be on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6:20 pm ET during the baseball season.
Then for the thirteen Friday night Braves' home games, Shanks will also host a 30-minute pre-game show in Atlanta to preview the Braves game. This show will include phone calls from fans. All WCNN programming can be heard online at www.680thefan.com.
And for the second straight season Shanks will be a contributor on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network's Wrap-Up Show.
Shanks will also provide weekly Braves reports for the following sports talk stations around the southeast:
Athens, Georgia - WRFC - 960 The Ref
Rome, Georgia- WLAQ - Talk Radio AM 1410
Birmingham, Alabama - WJOX - 100.5 The Sports Monster
Anniston, Alabama - WANA - AM 1490
Columbia, South Carolina - ESPN Columbia - 93.1 FM

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - 93.3 The Team
Jackson, Mississippi - WSFZ - Supersport 930

Shanks has covered the Braves for twenty years for newspaper, radio, television, and the Internet. His first sports talk radio show was in 1986 at the age of sixteen on WWUF-FM in Waycross, Georgia.
In 2005 Shanks wrote a book about baseball scouting and player development philosophies with the Braves as the main focus. Scout's Honor: The Bravest Way To Build A Winning Team is available at Barnes and Noble bookstores and online at amazon.com.
