The Braves Show's Bill Shanks looks at Sunday's action around the Braves' farm system.
RICHMOND
Richmond will play two games today against Durham at the Diamond. They'll first finish the game that was suspended due to rain in the fourth inning Saturday night with the Braves up 11-0. Then
Trey Hodges
(1-1, 0.89) will start the regularly scheduled game against Durham starter
Jason Hammel
(1-2, 2.48).
The Braves remain 7.5 games up on Durham in the International League's South Division. Richmond is 18-6 on the season.
MISSISSIPPI
The Braves have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season. They continue the series in Montgomery this afternoon starting at 3:05 pm ET.
Kelvin Villa
(2-1, 4.18) is scheduled to go for the visitors.
Mississippi remains in first place in the Southern League's South Division with a 20-9 record, four games up on the Jacksonville Suns.
MYRTLE BEACH
The Pelicans close out the series in Lynchburg Sunday afternoon at 2:05 pm ET with
James Parr
(1-3, 3.92) on the hill. He'll face Hillcats' righty
Derek Hankins
(3-0, 1.77).
Myrtle Beach has lost three in a row and is now 12-16 on the season, 4.5 games back of Kinston in the Carolina League's Southern Division.
ROME
Rome tries to complete a three-game sweep of the Savannah Sand Gnats today at Grayson Stadium on the Georgia coast.
Jeff Lyman
(0-4, 4.61) is scheduled to make his seventh start of the season for the Braves.
With a two-game winnings streak the Braves are now 9-21 on the season, 14.5 games back of Augusta in the South Atlantic League's Southern Division.
