Here's Monday's schedule around the Braves farm system.
RICHMOND
Sunday’s game with Rochester was rained out in Richmond. Since that’s the only trip Rochester will make to Richmond this season, the Braves will have to make up that game on the road in Rochester next Tuesday as part of a doubleheader. So now the Braves will try to dry up the field and start a series with Buffalo tonight starting at 7 pm at the Diamond. Lefty
Francisley Bueno
will go for the Braves against right-hander
Brian Slocum
.
MISSISSIPPI
The Braves are still looking for victory number one of the season after losing to Huntsville 1-0 Sunday afternoon. Mississippi will close out the five-game series tonight at 8:05 pm ET. Right-hander
Dustin Evans
will make his first start of the season for the Braves against Stars’ lefty
Sam Narron
. Braves’ outfielder
Carl Loadenthal
is off to a hot start for the Braves, hitting .467 through the first four games of the season.
MYRTLE BEACH
The Pelicans suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday, losing to the
Wilmington Blue Rocks
3-1 at Frawley Stadium up in Delaware. Myrtle Beach will close out the series tonight starting at 6:35 pm with
Ryne Reynoso
making his first professional start. Reynoso had a 1.98 ERA in Rome last season in 40 games as a reliever. Right-hander Josh Godin will go for Wilmington.
ROME
After winning their first game of the season Sunday the
Rome Braves
will welcome Columbus to State Mutual Stadium tonight for the start of a four-game series. Lefty
Jose Ortegano
will get his first start of the season for the Braves. Ortegano was 5-3 with a 2.47 ERA last season in Danville.
