Here's a look around the Braves' minor league system for Wednesday, May 7.
RICHMOND
After a 7-1 loss to Indianapolis Tuesday night the Braves will try to get back on track tonight at 7:00 at the Diamond against the Indians. Jonathan Rouwenhorst will pitch for the Braves against former Atlanta pitcher Adam Bernero. The Braves are 18-13 on the season, 3.5 games up on Charlotte in the International League's South Division.
MISSISSIPPI
The Braves have now lost three in a row and will try to break the streak tonight when play West Tennessee in game three of a five-game set.
Todd Redmond
(2-1, 3.75) will go for Mississippi against
Justin Thomas
. Redmond has been the lone bright spot in the Mississippi rotation. The Braves are now 9-23 on the season, eight games out of first place in the Southern League's South Division.
MYRTLE BEACH
The first-place Pelicans battle Potomac in a morning game at BB&T Coastal Field starting at 10:35.
Kyle Cofield
(1-4, 4.34) will go for Myrtle Beach against Nationals' righty
Jhonny Nunez
(0-3, 5.40). The Pelicans are 19-13 on the season, four games on top of Winston-Salem in the Carolina League's Southern Division.
ROME
The Braves are really struggling, scoring only four runs in the four game series (all losses) to the Augusta GreenJackets. They've lost five in a row since they needed only one win to give Randy Ingle his 1000th career win as a minor league manager. Rome moves on to Greenville this afternoon to start a four-game series. Scott Diamond (2-0, 2.67) goes for the Braves, who are now 11-21 on the season and a Sally League-worst 3-13 on the road.
