Cole Rohrbough promoted to Myrtle Beach
Rohrbough leaves Rome with a 3-4 record and a 4.94 ERA in 13 games (12 starts). He allowed 55 hits in 58.1 innings, 32 earned runs, 31 walks, and 76 strikeouts. In his last three games, Rohrbough has allowed six runs on 12 hits in 19.2 innings, with 27 strikeouts.
Rohrbough missed the first six weeks of the season battling rotator cuff tendonitis. He also missed two weeks in late June with an ankle problem. In his seven games after the All-Star Break Rohrbough is 2-2 with a 3.67 ERA, 28 hits allowed in 34.1 innings, 17 walks, and 45 strikeouts.
In his 27 games in the Braves' system, Rohrbough now has 172 strikeouts in 119.2 innings pitched.
The Braves also promoted reliever Bryan Dumesnil back to Double-A Mississippi to make room for Rohrbough on the Myrtle Beach roster.
