Here's a look at Saturday's action around the Braves' farm system.
RICHMOND
The Braves play game two of their four-game series in Durham late this afternoon starting at 5:00 pm. Trey Hodges will go for Richmond against Bulls' lefty J.P. Howell. The Braves are now 22-9 on the season and 7.5 games up on the Bulls in the International League's South Division.
MISSISSIPPI
Mississippi hits the road to start a five-game series in Birmingham tonight starting at 8:05 pm ET. Lefty Matt Harrison (4-1, 3.35) goes for the Braves against right-hander Kris Honel (1-1, 4.18). The Braves are in first place with a 23-12 record, three games up on Jacksonville in the Southern League's South Division.
MYRTLE BEACH
The Pelicans try for their second win in a row tonight when they host Frederick starting at 7:05. James Parr (2-3, 3.51) will pitch for the Pelicans against Chorye Spoone (3-2, 3.51). Myrtle Beach is now 16-18 on the season, 3.5 games back of Kinston in the Carolina League's Southern Division.
ROME
Rome heads south to start an eight-game road trip. The first four games are in Columbus against the Catfish. Jamie Richmond (1-2, 3.49) gets the start for the Braves, who are 10-24 on the season.
