Brandon Allen's game-winning grand slam Wednesday made the headlines, but more important to the future of the Arizona Diamondbacks was Allen's stellar defensive play in left field. Should the 240-pound career first baseman stick there, it would allow him to be in the same lineup as Adam LaRoche next year and keep a path clear for a bevy of first base prospects in the minor leagues.
