Biography:
Scott Thorman is a very underrated and solid prospect. If he was not stuck behind Adam LaRoche, he would perhaps get more attention as a serious major league prospect. Thorman has developed nicely over the last few years, and his 2005 season was solid. He started the season at Double-A Mississippi, but ended in Triple-A Richmond. Overall, Thorman hit .292 with 21 home runs and 92 runs batted in. If he hit right-handed, he would have gone to spring training with a great chance to platoon with LaRoche, but since he hits left-handed, he's pretty much stuck in Triple-A for the time being. Thorman is a solid prospect, and if he doesn't make it with Atlanta, he's going to be a solid pro for some major league team.
