| Biography: |
| James Parr was the Braves' fourth round pick in the 2004 draft out of La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Braves' scouts believed he was one of the top right-handed prep pitchers in the draft, and he immediately drew comparisons to Kyle Davies. Parr is extremely athletic, and he's an intense competitor. He combined with Angelo Burrows for a no-hitter in June of 2005, pitching eight hitless innnings. Parr was 13-4 overall for Rome with a 3.41 ERA. In 2006 he'll be apart of the rotation in Myrtle Beach, and he could flourish even more in the Carolina League. |
