| Biography: |
| Jeff Lyman was the Braves' second round pick (77th overall) out of Monte Vista High School in Alamo, California. He's a big tall kid that generates good velocity on his fastball. Lyman was okay in the Gulf Coast League in 2005 (4.24 ERA, 28 K, 7 BB, 34 IP), but was even more impressive in the Fall Instructional League. He is currently on the Rome Braves roster as a starter, piggybacking with Tyler Bullock. Lyman is really learning how to pitch, so it's fun to wonder how good he might be in a couple of years. The natural talent is there, so it's now all about the development. |
