Biography:
Jo Jo Reyes was drafted in the second round of the 2003 draft out of Riverside, California. The Braves believed he was the best prep left-hander in the draft, and he was on the fast track before he got injured in 2004. Reyes had to have Tommy John surgery and missed the second half of the 2004 season and the first half of the 2005 campaign. He pitched in nine games (eight starts) for the Danville Braves last season and was 3-0 with a 3.53 ERA. He allowed 37 hits in 43.1 innings pitched. Then Reyes tore his ACL late in the regular season and had to have surgery on his knee. Now he is fully recovered from both his elbow and knee trouble and will start the 2006 season in Rome. Reyes could get back on the fast track in a hurry. He's a very talented pitcher.
