| Jonny Venters had a very good season in Rome in 2005 but elbow problems caused him to have Tommy John surgery at the end of the year. After missing the entire 2006 season, Venters returned to the mound in the Florida Instructional League and looked very solid. His fastball was back in the upper-80s and his location was decent. He'll probably return to Rome for the start of the 2007 season, but do not be surprised if this talented lefty is in Myrtle Beach before the end of the year. |
