| Biography: |
| Eric Barrett was drafted by the Braves in the 31st round of the 2006 draft. He went back for his sophomore season at John A. Logan College in Illinois and the Braves signed him as a draft-and-follow player in May of 2007. Barrett had a 2.25 ERA in his season at John A. Logan, and then when he joined the farm system Barrett went to the GCL. In Orlando Barrett was 1-2 in eight games (five starts) with a 1.36 ERA. The southpaw then went to Danville where he had a 2.28 ERA in five games (three starts). Overall in the Braves' system, Barrett had a 1.75 ERA in 56.2 innings, with 20 walks, and 71 strikeouts. He'll battle for a starting rotation job in Rome this spring. |
