Biography:
Diamond was signed by the Braves for a reported $50,000 as a non-drafted free agent out of Binghamton University. He started the 2008 season in the Rome rotation and had nine starts. Diamond was 3-1 with a 3.08 ERA. He allowed 47 hits in 52.2 innings, 18 earned runs allowed, two home runs, 11 walks, and 38 strikeouts. The Braves promoted him to Myrtle Beach on May 18, 2008.
