| The Braves drafted Paul Clemens in the seventh round of the 2008 draft out of Louisburg College in North Carolina. The right-hander had 46 strikeouts and 19 walks in 41.1 innings for the Hurricanes. Clemens pitched in 14 games (nine starts) after he entered the Braves organization. Between the GCL (one game), Danville (12 games), and Rome (one game), Clemens was 4-4 with a 3.58 ERA, 65 hits allowed in 65.1 innings, 20 walks, and 59 strikeouts. Clemens has a good fastball, which can reach 97 mph. |
