Cabrera Adjusting Quickly

DANVILLE, VA - Being a starting pitcher on opening day can be a nerve wracking, monumental task for most people. Mauricio Cabrera is not one of them. The 6-foot-2, 180 pound right-handed starter would proceed to quickly go through the Elizabethton Twins lineup on opening night in Danville.

He struck out four and walked two while only giving up one run. While he did not get the decision in the end, he heavily contributed to the Braves victory. "He pitched very well, used his power fastball well, worked quick and executed," Danville pitching coach Gabe Luckart said. "He pitches to contact, and Tuesday he did an excellent job."
