For Sanchez, Patience Is A Virtue

DANVILLE, VA - British journalist Harold Wilkins once said, "The world of achievement has always belonged to the optimist." Such is the case for Danville Braves outfielder Edison Sanchez, who has been Danville's most consistent player so far. However it was not always the case for Sanchez in 2012, he struggled prior to joining the Danville squad while he spent his time in Rome.

"I think I was trying to do too much, I felt a lot of pressure," Sanchez SAID. "I was trying to win the games by myself; I was not having fun up there. The pressure got to my head in Rome." Slumps can be tough to break, and unfortunately Sanchez could not break out in Rome, batting a minimal .180, with 42 strikeouts in 100 at-bats with the Rome Braves.
