De La Rosa Getting Acclimated

De La Rosa has just 2 hits in his last 24 at-bats

ORLANDO, FL - Although it is Bryan De La Rosa's first year with the GCL Braves, he has quickly become known as a defensive asset, and is recognizable for his strong arm. This Puerto Rican native is only 18 years old, and was picked early on in the MLB draft in the third-round as the 116th overall pick.

The right-handed hitting catcher may not be the biggest guy on the field, but he sure does know the importance of good collaboration with his pitchers. "I always concentrate on helping the pitchers," De La Rosa said, "calling pitches and mixing pitches that way, they can get ground balls and we can make the outs."
